AnaLog keeps your film log on your device. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it sends none of your data to the developer or to anyone else.
Everything you enter — rolls, frames, exposures, cameras, lenses, scans, notes and any GPS coordinates you attach — is stored locally on your iPhone. It is not uploaded, synced to a server, or shared. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Each of these is optional. iOS asks before granting any of them, and AnaLog works without them — you lose only the feature that needs the permission.
AnaLog downloads its film stock catalog from alekperez.github.io, so that new film stocks can appear without an app update. This is a plain request for a static file. It carries no account, no device identifier and nothing about you or your rolls.
The file is hosted on GitHub Pages, so GitHub's servers see the request the same way any website sees a visit — including the IP address it came from. That is the extent of it, and it is the only request AnaLog makes to anywhere that is not Apple.
AnaLog Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Apple handles the entire transaction — it happens in Apple's own purchase sheet, charged to the Apple Account already signed in on the device. The developer never sees your payment details: no card number, no name, no billing address. Apple reports sales as anonymous totals, and nothing in them identifies who bought.
To show the price, and to know whether you have already bought, the app asks the App Store — Apple's own servers, which your iPhone is talking to anyway. Nothing about your rolls, frames or photographs goes with that question, and no payment service outside Apple is involved at any point. AnaLog itself still has no account and nothing to sign in to.
AnaLog can export your roll metadata for use in Lightroom or Capture One, and can write a backup file of your whole log. Both go wherever you send them — the Files app, AirDrop, your Mac — and never to the developer.
Worth knowing: an export includes the GPS coordinates of any frame that has them. That is the point of the feature, but it means location data can leave your device inside a file you share. It only ever leaves because you exported it.
AnaLog collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and contains no content requiring additional safeguards.
